No drill chuck is required—the mandrel is held directly in the morse taper of your lathe! The brass compression fitting allows you to turn shorter length blanks without having to use a wood spacer. Simply slide the fitting onto the shaft and tighten it at the correct location for your blank. This Pro Pen Turning Mandrel includes a #2 morse taper arbor for use with a #2 morse taper lathe, a 7mm mandrel shaft and knurled nut.
